Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS. is a hosted queue service that enables developers to send messages between distributed application components and microservices. Amazon SQS moves the heavy lifting of queues from the application layer to the cloud and makes it easier for applications to scale by decoupling the producers and consumers of the messages.
AWeber is an email marketing service that allows you to easily manage your email list and send emails. The AWeber API allows you to access and integrate the functionality of AWeber with other applications. Some example API methods include managing lists, sending emails, and managing contacts.
Amazon SQS is a scalable, secure, high-performance hosted queue for storing messages as they travel between distributed application components and microservices in different AWS regions. It’s a fully managed message queuing service that lets you decouple senders from receivers and move data between distributed app components. Messages are delivered reliably, even when many of the senders and receivers are on different networks or in different geographic locations. Amazon SQS is designed for distributed systems and provides strong consistency for message delivery. The messages can be stored for later processing, or they can be deleted after they are processed by their intended recipients. Each message is associated with a single queue, which can have multiple consumers. Each queue has a maximum size limit (currently 50 GB. and a number of maximum messages that can be sent to or received from the queue (currently 20 million. When a message is sent, it’s stored in a single queue until the recipient retrieves it. If a consumer attempts to retrieve more messages than are available in the queue, it receives only a subset of the total number of messages in the queue. As new messages are added to the queue, previous messages are consumed in order to keep the number of messages in the queue consistent. Consumer applications can process messages according to priority, time received, or other criteria specified when they retrieve them from the queue. You pay only for what you use—there is no minimum fee or setup cost. Amazon SQS provides redundant availability and automatic scaling, manages your queues for you, and guarantees 99.9% uptime. Amazon SQS integrates with other AWS services, such as Amazon S3 for file storage, Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring, and Amazon Kinesis for real-time processing. Because it scales automatically, it’s ideal for workflows with many participants. You can use one or more queues to handle different types of jobs, tasks, or events. For example. Use Amazon SQS queues to orchestrate workflow processes that invpve multiple steps and/or multiple participants across one or more AWS accounts.
Business-to-business (B2B. integration. Use Amazon SQS queues to integrate business processes across multiple companies. For example, use an Amazon SQS queue to integrate an email marketing company with an email sender company. The email marketing company publishes email content via an Amazon SNS topic to its own Amazon SQS queue. The email sender company subscribes to the same Amazon SNS topic and uses it to retrieve the email content from the marketing company’s Amazon SQS queue and deliver it via SMTP over TCP port 25 to individual recipients’ inboxes.
Real-time business-critical messaging. Use Amazon SQS queues to get updates on your business processes as soon as possible after changes occur. For example, you could use Amazon SQS to deliver server logs from your web servers directly into a custom application that analyzes them in real-time. It’s important to note that although you can use FIFO queues for real-time messaging scenarios, there are certain limitations associated with FIFO queues when compared with standard queues. FIFO queues do not support transactional sends; all sends must be at-least once delivery for FIFO queues. This means that if there are any errors during delivery, the message will be redelivered. If there are any errors during delivery of messages in a standard queue, those messages will not be redelivered by default. You can configure standard queues with at-least once delivery; however, this incurs additional costs as well as performance impacts due to increased message size and additional latency introduced by increased message processing latency and retries. In addition to basic messaging functionality described above, Amazon SQS supports other features. Message transformation . Transform messages by using AWS Lambda functions before they're consumed by their intended readers by using actionable notification rules . The function you create can perform tasks such as encrypting sensitive data or converting between binary and text formats. Tagging . Apply tags to messages in order to group them together based on common characteristics. For example, you might tag all notifications related to order processing with Order-Processing tag and sort them separately from notifications related to inventory management with Inventory-Management tag . You can then filter on these tags when viewing your message lists through the AWS Management Conspe , CLI , or SDKs . The AWS Management Conspe also supports filtering based on tags included with notifications . When creating alerts using CloudWatch Events , you can apply tags to each event source , then filter on those tags when creating rules .
