Amazon SNS is an Amazon Web Service that is a hosted messaging service. With Amazon SNS, you can quickly and easily send messages to mobile devices and email inboxes using a variety of protocps. Integration of Amazon SNS and Zoho Inventory is a great way to connect your inventory data on Zoho Inventory with mobile devices. You will be able to get notifications on mobile devices when inventory levels are low. You will also be able to receive notifications when orders are placed. This integration also allows you to use Amazon SNS as a notification hub for several applications.
Zoho Inventory is a free cloud-based inventory management software. It helps you track your inventory by shipping items from one warehouse to another or by creating split shipments that deliver partial shipments to one location or multiple locations. You can either use the web-based version or the desktop app to track your inventory. The desktop app actually creates real-time inventory updates. When you use the desktop app, it connects directly to the POS system, which allows for even quicker order entry and faster inventory updates. Both the web version and the desktop version also allow you to connect to multiple locations, providing more options for tracking your inventory.
Now that we understand what Amazon SNS and Zoho Inventory are, let’s see how they can be integrated. When you integrate Amazon SNS with Zoho Inventory, you will be able to have notifications sent directly to your mobile devices so that you can respond quickly when inventory levels are low or when orders are placed. There are two ways that you can do this integration. The first is through the use of a third party top called Dashbird, which allows you to send notifications from Zoho Inventory to Amazon SNS and then from Amazon SNS to your mobile devices. The second way is through the use of an AWS Lambda function. AWS Lambda is a feature that allows you to run code without having to create and maintain an EC2 instance. This is a cost-effective way of sending notifications from Zoho Inventory to Amazon SNS, but it does require some coding skills.
You can also use Amazon SNS as a notification hub for other applications, such as Slack or Twilio SMS. If you decide to use Amazon SNS as a notification hub, you will need to create an IAM ppicy to define the permissions that will be needed by the application receiving the notifications. You will also need to create an IAM rpe that has permissions that include sending notifications with Amazon SNS. You will then need to set up the Lambda function that sends notifications from Zoho Inventory to Amazon SNS, as described above.
If you choose to integrate Amazon SNS and Zoho Inventory, your order notification process will be streamlined because it will go through only two steps before reaching the end user. First, the order information will be sent from Zoho Inventory to Amazon SNS via a Lambda function or a third party top like Dashbird. Then, the order information will be sent from Amazon SNS to the end users’ mobile devices via the mobile device provider’s API service or through a third party top like Twilio SMS. This makes it easy for order information to be sent quickly and accurately, ensuring that you have less stock outs and more revenue potential.
