Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS. is the web service that allows you to send messages to your customers, business partners, and employees. These messages can be sent via email, SMS, or push notifications.
When your message arrives in an app, service, or on any device with a supported notification, Amazon SNS will notify your recipients of the message using the messaging channel they have specified. For example, if they have opted-in to receive an SMS message when they sign up for your app, then Amazon SNS will send them an SMS notification. It might look something like this:
Amazon SNS lets you configure exactly who gets which message where, when, and how. Your messages are sent securely and reliably using Amazon SNS endpoints, which are available in every AWS region. You can use Amazon SNS from the AWS Management Conspe, the AWS SDKs, or the APIs.
You can also store the messages you send through Amazon SNS in a durable, easy-to-query format called an Amazon SNS topic for a limited time period. You can then retrieve these stored messages later by subscribing to the same topic. This is useful for asynchronous communication, such as sending someone a link to download an order confirmation document.

Integrating Amazon SNS and GoToWebinar allows you to send broadcast emails to users who signed up for your webinar using Amazon SNS. In addition to sending the emails, when a user signs up for the webinar via GoToWebinar’s signup form, he or she receives an SMS message about the webinar from Amazon SNS through a connected Twilio account. This is especially useful for companies whose customer base spans multiple channels and platforms, such as websites and mobile apps. By integrating these two services together, you can ensure that all your users receive timely and relevant alerts about upcoming events that are important to them. For example, if you run a company that sells software products for small businesses, a user who has signed up for your webinar may also be signed up for software updates via email but might not be notified of upcoming webinars unless she’s signed up for them through GoToWebinar. Integrating both services ensures that all of your users stay informed about new announcements and events while simultaneously reducing the amount of back-and-forth time spent on customer support. To integrate these services together using AWS Lambda, you need to create an AWS Lambda function that calls an API to register users for webinars hosted on GoToWebinar’s servers. Each time a user registers for a webinar that has been configured in advance by GoToWebinar, your function gets a request from GoToWebinar’s API and invokes Amazon SNS to send an SMS message to the user’s phone number or email address. The user receives the message in his or her email inbox or text message inbox and clicks the link provided in the message to join the webinar. In case he/she forgets about the webinar, his or her phone will buzz with a reminder 10 minutes before the start time of the webinar so that he/she can tune in at the appointed hour. Here’s how this integration works:
