First of all, we need to create a bucket in Amazon S3 system which can be done by accessing the main page at https://aws.amazon.com/s3/. On the bucket list displayed by Amazon S3, click on "Create Bucket". Then you will see a popup window asking you to fill in the details such as bucket name, region, etc. Once you have filled in the required details then click on "Create bucket".
Now we need to configure our local machine to work with Amazon S3 bucket. For this, go to your localhost and access your website at http://localhost/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=amazon_s3_integration.php. You will see a popup asking you to enter your AWS Access Key ID and AWS Secret Access Key which you can generate from your Amazon S3 account if you haven't created it already. After entering the credentials of Amazon S3 and clicking on "Save Options", you will see a notification that settings have been saved successfully. Now you are ready to upload files from your local computer to your Amazon S3 bucket using the WordPress admin area.
