Integration of Amazon CloudWatch and Trello

Amazon CloudWatch is a monitoring service for the cloud. It provides monitoring, logging and analytics of Amazon Web Services(AWS. resources and its uses. It can provide metrics on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2. instances, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), and DynamoDB. By default, it collects data every five minutes."CloudWatch is a monitoring service that enables you to collect and track metrics related to the use of your AWS resources, such as the CPU activity of your Amazon EC2 instances or the amount of data stored in your Amazon S3 buckets. You can also monitor custom metrics that you collect by instrumenting your applications."CloudWatch monitors AWS resources, which include Amazon EC2 instances, Amazon EBS volumes, Amazon DynamoDB tables, and more. CloudWatch collects metrics for each AWS resource and stores them in a database for analysis and display. CloudWatch also calculates derived metrics based on the raw data it collects. In addition to storing metrics, CloudWatch logs CloudWatch alarms when metrics violate user-defined thresholds. Amazon CloudWatch is integrated with other AWS services, such as Amazon RDS, Amazon ECS, and Amazon ElastiCache. These services provide additional metrics that are used to create alarms. The integration of Amazon CloudWatch and Trello involves Trello as a web-based project management and collaboration tool. Users can add cards to lists to organize their projects. Each card has an associated description and members can edit or add comments to any card in any list where they are a member. It supports multiple lists, card color-coding, and checklists. The background color of cards changes to indicate whether the item is "active", "completed", or "dropped". Users can add attachments to each card. Trello users can create boards either publicly or privately. Public boards are discoverable by anyone who has access to the Internet. Boards have descriptions and members can invite others to join them. Private boards are not discoverable outside the invited members.CloudWatch integrates with Trello through Trello API to get information about cards' information from Trello. This integration helps teams stay up-to-date with what's happening on each project and who is involved with it. This integration helps you keep track of tasks through issues and other events in Trello without leaving CloudWatch.Team members can issue alerts for CloudWatch alarms and notifications for events in Trello through email or mobile push notifications .

Benefits of Integration of Amazon CloudWatch and Trello

This integration benefits teams by enabling them to view task status at a glance in CloudWatch dashboards in near real-time, and receive alerts when issues arise on projects. Teams can create new alarms based on metrics from Trello or reactivate existing alarms on CloudWatch dashboards without leaving the console. CloudWatch sends an alert when a metric violates a threshold that you set on a dashboard or when an event occurs on a board in Trello that you configure as an event source in the console. When an alarm is triggered, you can view a summary of the metric value along with details of the event that caused the alarm on the Alarms page or on a dashboard that includes the metric or event source that triggered the alarm .
