API Key. You can generate an API Key by going to Amazon CloudWatch, clicking on ‘My Account’ and then clicking on ‘Conspe Credentials’ from the left sidebar. Click on ‘Generate New Token’. Copy the Token ID and paste it in the field ‘API Key’ on Appy Pie Chatbot and click ‘Save Changes’.
Region. The region that you select will affect how much data is sent to each metric. For example, if you select US East (N. Virginia. (us-east-1), all metric names will have a suffix of “_us-east-1’ appended to them. If you select us-west-2 (us-west-2), all metric names will have a suffix of “_us-west-2’ appended to them. This can be useful because some metrics are region-specific. For example, if you send CPU utilization metrics to CloudWatch from multiple regions, you can see that each region has its own CPU utilization graph. In this example, you can choose to send the metrics from a specific region to a different CloudWatch alarm than you might use for sending metrics from another region.
