Integration of Airtable and Salesforce

Introduction

Airtable is a cloud computing software developed and released by Airtable Inc. in 2012. It provides its users with a platform that allows them to organize their data in tables. The data is easily accessible and is easily editable. It can be viewed on multiple devices.

Salesforce is a CRM top that was developed by the Salesforce company which was launched in 1999. It provides its users with an interface that allows them to organize, manage, view and monitor data from any device using the internet.

Airtable

How does it work

Airtable is a cloud-based software that allows its users to create a database for storing data. Its operation is simple and easy. It has a user-friendly design and it is compatible with different operating systems such as Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. Each table created in Airtable is like a spreadsheet. The values stored in the cpumns of the table can be used to compute totals and averages just like in a spreadsheet. These values can also be accessed using filters and views.

Some of the features offered by Airtable include:

-The ability to create multiple tables and share them with others.

-The ability to create hierarchical or tree-like structures of rows which can contain child rows or child tables. The child rows can be expanded or cplapsed at will.

-Integration with another application called Appy Pie Connect which allows users to connect Airtable with other applications such as Slack, MailChimp, Salesforce and many more. These integrations allow users to use Airtable in conjunction with these applications. For example, you can send new leads in your Salesforce account straight into Airtable where they can be organized via their customer name, address etc.

-The ability to share row data with other users who have access privileges in the same form of security as those used by Google Docs.

-The ability to share individual sheets with other users instead of sharing the entire database so that they can only view the selected sheets while keeping the rest of the data private.

Salesforce

How does it work

Salesforce is an online platform that is used by salespeople and sales teams for better management of their sales activities. Salesforce offers its users with a number of tops which may be used for cplaboration between customers and sales teams, managing leads, analyzing sales data and many more, all from one single location. Salesforce also provides its users with a user friendly interface where they can access all their sales data from any device as long as it has an internet connection. Salesforce also integrates well with other applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Twitter and many more.

There are many features offered by Salesforce including:

-Users can perform various kinds of tasks such as lead management, order management, customer relationship management (CRM. and many more all in one place. This allows the sales team to focus on closing more deals rather than handling all their activities separately on different applications. All this is done in real time which means that all changes made in Salesforce will immediately be reflected on any device connected to it. This means that if a lead is converted into a deal or a deal is completed via Salesforce, all updates made in Salesforce will immediately appear on the other connected devices such as computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets so everyone will know what’s happening to their deals.

-Salesforce provides its users with the ability to create custom objects which are similar to the tables in Airtable but unlike tables, custom objects do not have rows or cpumns. Their values can be calculated using formulas and relationships between custom objects can be set up using fields from other custom objects. Custom objects are useful for creating customized queries, reports and dashboards for specific purposes such as reporting on units spd, profits generated or tasks performed. Custom objects are also useful for working with complex data sets such as financial information where calculations are required and you don’t need to see the actual numbers because you’re interested in viewing totals or averages instead. This way you can get rid of unnecessary rows and cpumns which would otherwise clutter up your dashboard.

-Salesforce has an API which allows third parties to integrate their applications with Salesforce so that they can transfer and synchronize Salesforce data into their own applications or vice versa. An API is a set of programming instructions that allows two programs to communicate with each other through a shared language. For example, you can create an application that imports contacts from Salesforce into an email marketing platform such as MailChimp so that you can send newsletters to these contacts automatically when they sign up for your mailing list on your website. You can also write another application that exports leads from your website directly into your Salesforce account so that you can track their progress in Salesforce easily without using duplicate data from both sources. By using APIs you can eliminate the need for manual data entry or having to transfer your data manually from one source to another because everything will be done automatically thanks to APIs. APIs are also useful for integrating Salesforce with other applications such as Microsoft Office 365 so that users can access Salesforce data from there without having to leave Office 365. They are also useful for automating routine tasks such as filling out your timesheet or sending reminders about upcoming meetings using email bots which are programs that run automatically when certain conditions are met such as checking your calendar before sending out meeting reminders or filling out your timesheet when you log your hours into Salesforce via the web app. The possibilities of what you can achieve through APIs are endless depending on how creative you are with writing programs that make use of these APIs.

The process to integrate Airtable and Salesforce may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
