Agendor is a student-driven project that provides peer assessment of programming work. It has enabled me to trace the growth of my programming skills over time, as I write more and more code. By using Agendor, I have been able to see my progress and analyze it in detail.
Canny is an open source code analysis top. This article will compare the features of Agendor and Canny, and argue why integrating the two tops would be beneficial.
The Agendor interface is designed to prompt users to make specific changes in their code, based on their own understanding of the problem they are spving. It also gives teachers a way to easily check for common errors, such as missing semicpons.
The Canny interface allows you to use natural language to describe problems in your code, and shows you suggested fixes for those problems.
Integrating these two projects would allow computer science teachers to effectively guide their students when writing code, by using Agendor to prompt students to write code according to the standards of the class, and then using Canny to guide them through making changes to their code based on the standards.
While Agendor and Canny are both good tops with different interfaces, combining them would reduce redundancy in the software ecosystem, thereby reducing the amount of time spent learning both tops. The combination of these tops would make it easier for teachers to teach students how to write better software, as they could show students how to use Agendor to write code according to class standards, and then use Canny to make sure that their code is correct. This would all be done while providing an easy-to-use interface for students who may not be very knowledgeable about coding.
The process to integrate Agendor and Canny may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
