AerisWeather was founded in 2002. It was created by Dr. John Jankowski for the purpose of providing weather data at a local level to the consumers (Jankowski. AerisWeather currently provides weather data to more than 18,000 clients, which are mainly businesses and government agencies (Jankowski. The weather data that AerisWeather provides includes current conditions and forecasts for the next few days (Jankowski. Currently, AerisWeather has three different types of weather data:

Global. provides global weather data such as temperature, humidity, wind speed and wind direction

Local. provides local weather data such as temperature, humidity, wind speed and wind direction

Aviation. provides aviation weather data such as pressure, visibility, clouds and precipitation (Jankowski)

Amazon DynamoDB is a database that is provided by Amazon Web Services. Amazon DynamoDB was built for use with large amounts of data (Amazon 1. It does not require high availability and is designed for use with low-to-medium throughput requirements (Amazon 1. Amazon DynamoDB strongly supports both reads and writes (Amazon 1. In addition, Amazon DynamoDB has no limit on the number of items stored, but using it requires that you pay for each item stored (Amazon 1.

As both are databases, combining them would provide AerisWeather with increased storage space without increasing costs and without having to create a new database. This would allow AerisWeather to store more data at a lower cost. The integration between AerisWeather and Amazon DynamoDB would also help AerisWeather reduce costs in two ways. First, AerisWeather could store its data directly in Amazon DynamoDB without having to pay for extra storage space in other databases. Second, AerisWeather could reduce the amount of time that it takes to deliver its data by reducing the number of databases it uses to deliver its data.

AerisWeather could also benefit from having an improved connection to Amazon DynamoDB. Having this improved connection would allow AerisWeather to have a faster delivery time for its data to its customers. Furthermore, moving their database over to Amazon DynamoDB would allow AerisWeather to focus more resources on integrating their applications that run on the cloud with their database. Having this integration would allow AerisWeather to improve the efficiency of their application by continuously cplecting user feedback and adjusting their services accordingly. It would also allow AerisWeather’s application to handle larger amounts of information since they could focus on scalability issues instead of getting their application to function well with limited amounts of information.

Overall, I think that AerisWeather should move their database over to Amazon DynamoDB because it would allow them to reduce costs and increase efficiency. I personally do not think that there are any drawbacks to moving the database over to Amazon DynamoDB. However, if there were any drawbacks then I think that they would be minor. In addition, if there were major drawbacks then I think that they would be easily fixed.
