How ActiveCampaign & Zoho Writer Integrations Work

ActiveCampaign is a marketing automation platform. It helps companies to track the performance of their email campaigns and offers many features that help them in their marketing strategy. Some of the features include email tracking, web form analytics and segmentation of the email lists. The company has been acquired by Act-On in April 2017 and continues to be an independent product to this date.

Zoho Writer

Zoho Writer is a free online text editor. It was created by Zoho Corporation, who were founded in 1996 as a software development firm. They create various software products such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, Zoho Creator and Zoho ShowCase. All of these software products are freely available for use for non-commercial purposes. They provide paid plans for commercial use.

Integration of ActiveCampaign and Zoho Writer

The integration between ActiveCampaign and Zoho Writer is quite simple. To get started you will need access to both products. Log into your activecampaign account and go to Campaigns > Email Campaigns > Create New. On the left side of the page, you will see the fplowing link. “Link Your Email Campaigns with Zapier”. Click on it and you will be taken to the page where you can link your account with Zoho Writer.

After signing up for Zoho Writer, you will get a screen that looks like this:

Go ahead and click the “Create Zap” button at the top right of the screen. This will take you to a new screen that allows you to link your account with ActiveCampaign. Click on the “Connect” button that is on the left side of the screen. You will be presented with a new screen that looks like this:

You will be required to enter your ActiveCampaign API Key or Username and Password into the boxes provided and then click “Save & Continue”. The next screen will ask you which campaign you would like to connect your Zoho Writer account with. Select the campaign that you have just created and click “Continue”. The next screen will display your campaign details. Go ahead and click “Finish Setup” to complete the connection process on your side.

After doing so, the integration will start working right away! You will see an alert pop up in your ActiveCampaign dashboard with a link that says “Click here to view your new Zap”. Clicking on this link will take you to a page that displays all of your connected accounts and their status under the subheading “Connected Accounts”. In order for this integration to work properly, you must check the box beside each record (underneath each account name. and click “Save & Close” at the bottom of that section. Once you do this, you will be able to edit your email templates using Zoho Writer. You can switch between the two programs by clicking on the tabs at the top of your screen.

To edit an email template using Zoho Writer, simply go to your Template Library and select “Zoho Writer” from the drop down menu at the top of the screen. You will now see all of your email templates in a list format with a purple header that says “Zoho Writer” above it. Clicking on any of these templates will open up a new text editor window where you can edit it as needed. You can also create new templates from scratch by clicking on “New Template” at the top right corner of your screen. When you save changes to your templates, they will automatically sync with ActiveCampaign using Zapier!
