Integration of Shift4Shop (formerly 3dcart) and Zendesk

3Dcart is a merchant system for E-commerce websites, and Zendesk is an online ticketing system. Zendesk has a feature called "Zendesk Connect" which allows businesses to integrate with other services that they use without the need to learn new software or hire new software developers.3Dcart is integrated with Zendesk, and this integration allows 3Dcart merchants to seamlessly integrate with Zendesk's ticketing system.

When a customer purchases something from a 3Dcart merchant's store, that order is sent to Zendesk via "Zendesk Connect". An email is then automatically generated and sent to a customer service representative in Zendesk, and that representative can fulfill that order with the click of a button.This saves time as it eliminates the need for the customer service representative to log into 3Dcart and manually fulfill an order.If a customer service representative is not available at the time of an order, then Zendesk sends the email to another representative who can fulfill that order.In addition, if an order requires items that are not available in stock, then Zendesk automatically notifies the customer that the item will be shipped later.Before this integration, there was no way for a customer service representative in Zendesk to automatically fulfill orders from a 3Dcart merchant's store.With the integration between 3Dcart and Zendesk, customers can pay with credit cards or PayPal, and after payment is processed by 3Dcart, a customer's receipt and tickets are automatically generated in Zendesk.With this integration, customers can also book appointments for services such as product demonstrations, training sessions, or seminars.If you already have a Merchant account with 3Dcart and would like to integrate your account with Zendesk, you can do so by going to 3Dcart Help Center and viewing the article on "How Can I Integrate My 3Dcart Store With Zendesk?".Once you have finished integrating your account with Zendesk, then you can create support tickets in Zendesk and assign them to reps in your Support team.To set up this integration:

  • Go to "My Account" and click "Integrations".
  • Click "Zendesk".
  • Click "Get Started".
  • Log into your Zendesk account.
  • Create a Ticket Template for use with 3Dcart customers. You can name this template whatever you want. When it comes to assigning tickets to an agent, you will refer to this template by its name. For example, if you named this template "3Dcart Demo", then when you assign a ticket to an agent, you would write "Agent1:3Dcart Demo".
  • Click on "View All Templates" and then click on the template that you want to use with 3Dcart. In my case, I will be using "3Dcart Demo".
  • Click on "Save Changes"!
