A: My approach to copywriting

When I was working as a copywriter, one of my responsibilities was to create marketing materials. I had to work on landing pages, email marketing campaigns and social media posts. Sometimes it was hard for me to know what the best way was to address the customers. Most of the time, I had to rely on experience and gut feeling. However, there are some things that I could apply always, regardless of the product or service that I was promoting. Here is my list of guidelines that can help you:

1) Write down your unique selling proposition (USP) and stick to it

There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Your unique selling proposition should consist of three parts:

Problem – You need to state clearly what the problem is and why it is so important for your potential customers. This part should be short and clear, four sentences maximum.

Solution – This is where you tell the potential customers what the solution to their problem is. You also need to mention how your solution is better than any other similar solutions that are available on the market.

Benefits – Benefits are something that your potential customers are going to get if they buy your product or service. If possible, make sure that these are measurable benefits. For example, if someone buys your fitness program, they probably want to lose weight, gain muscle mass or improve their physical appearance in general. Make sure that you mention all of these here.

2) Do not be afraid of being repetitive

It does not matter how many times you have already told people about your product or service, starting from the beginning every time you mention it is just fine. No matter if your potential customer has read about your product before or if they have heard about you from someone else, they need to know everything about it again. So, use different approaches but always include most important parts of your USP in every text.

3) Know your audience well

You need to know who your potential customers are and what they are looking for when they visit your website or contact you via social media channels. If you know these things, it will be much easier for you to address them in a way that will make them interested in buying your product or service. You need to know whether your potential customers are looking for information or for some kind of entertainment (for example, videos). It would also be helpful if you knew whether they were looking for quick answers or if they wanted to learn more about the topic (for example, through some type of e-book). Once you know these things, write content that matches these expectations.

B: My approach to copywriting

One of my favorite things about copywriting is that I get paid for writing! There are many benefits of writing, which is why I love this job so much. Some of them include:

Writing helps me feel relaxed – I love staring out of the window while writing. It helps me feel relaxed and peaceful at the same time. Also, writing helps me release my stress. It allows me to focus on something else so that I do not think about all of my problems at once. Writing clears my head – When I am feeling stuck with something or even when I am thinking too much about something else than writing can help me get over it. Writing clears my head and helps me think straight again. Writing broadens my vocabulary – This might not seem like a big deal but when I started writing more often, I noticed that my vocabulary improved quite a bit. I learned new words from reading so much and from writing them down so many times in a row. Writing improves my grammar skills – Writing makes me pay attention to grammar a lot more than when I am just speaking in English because I have to use it in every sentence that I write down! Writing helps me think critically – When I write an article or a blog post for this platform, I have to think critically about my topic and make sure that everything is right in my article. Writing helps me organize my thoughts – When I write something down, it forces me to organize my thoughts. Writing makes me feel productive – When I write a blog post or an article, I feel like I am doing something productive instead of wasting time on Facebook or Reddit! Writing pays well – Oh yes, writing pays well! You can earn quite a lot by writing articles online. Even though it might not pay as much as a regular job would pay you but it still pays well enough! Also you get paid by your readers! People can click on ads on your website and if they do so you get paid depending on how many people click on those ads! Writing makes me happy – When I write something down and publish it online for everyone to see, it makes me feel happy because I accomplished something! Also it makes me feel proud because people value my opinion and share their feedback with me! Writing teaches me things – When you write something down and then go back and read it again after a while, you notice all of the mistakes that you have made while writing it. This can teach you a lot! You can learn from your mistakes and avoid them next time you write something down! Writing brings joy to others – When you write something down and people appreciate it, you feel happy because you know that there are people out there who listen to what you have to say! This also means that writing has impact! You communicate with people and help them solve their problems! If you do not like this guy… Well… Just change him into guy… hehehe…
