Video Transcription: In this video I want to introduce you to how to keep a content repository and keep track of all the content you've posted on your social media now this video is brought to you by Appy Pie’s Academy if you have content that is news kind of content you're not going to be probably reposting it a month later or a year later it's just not gonna make a particular amount of sense but if you have evergreen content for example you explain what is a redwood tree doesn't matter but you know a redwood tree is the same now and it's the same ten years from now so it's called evergreen content and for evergreen content you can repost that post there's a couple of reasons why you might want to repost that post if it's a sales page you want to promote it if it's important for you to sell if it's a Content page like a blog content or YouTube content you might want to get it a little traffic a little more activity to help it along in the search or it might be something that gets shared around a little bit so if something got shared around and when the little viral not totally viral but a little viral when you post it at first you can say oh that got me some sharing and some new users I should repost this so for those reasons if it's evergreen if it's a little viral if you're trying to sell stuff you can have a content repository database and you can track when you've posted it last and you can then determine when you can post it again so that it doesn't annoy your users and that way you don't have to create as much new content and can reuse other successful content so let me walk you through how this would work it's a basic Excel spreadsheet we'd have a couple of headings here the category is basically sales page versus text content versus YouTube educational content so you kind of know what it is so if your social media marketing calendar says today you're posting a YouTube video or educational content that you can know okay you can look at it here and you can tell if it's sales and also see in this column the type you can see okay

I need to post a blog post that salesy and you would find that in your list this is just an example the only we only created three things so just an example these are all dummy the URLs are not accurate URLs but for you you will put your IQ URLs so you will quickly find okay today I need a website blog and it has to be salesy or it has to be educational so you'll find that and then you'll see last promoted date if it's maybe let's say all these dates are this year right and let's say it is the last day of the year so something that was posted on one twenty four means it's like it's been like almost around eleven months so you can repost it again because it's been a while the same thing with this thing that got posted on the sixth month of the year it's also been a while you can repost it now this one you can see oh it got posted recently probably avoid it for a couple of months at least and then you would decide like a priority if it's a nine out of ten you really want to promote it more frequently if it's a three out of ten you can let more time pass before you post it again because it's not really that important for you and you have the link to the content so some if you have some content in Dropbox like images you can can't link to that if you have content on your blog you can link to that this is just for your own reference so you can very quickly grab it and use it and then here content of the post exactly how to post so for example you would say this is just a dummy promotion but you can say hey guys check out this awesome widget now on sale and you would post the product so you literally can take this copy paste and paste that into your Twitter Facebook Linkedin everywhere wouldn't no-brainer right you don't have to create any content and you're actually posting your content that does give you some benefit that's because you have some priority so it's a really fast way to post good content and reuse content and give life to old content and make sales if you need it for your sales pages so those are all the benefits of keeping a social media posting repository and how to do it.
