This course is brought to you by Appy Pie as part of our academy series in this video I’m gonna be talking about using your MVP to prove your assumption so let's go back to that goal the MVP an MVP is used to find out if you can provide a solution that people are willing to pay for using the least amount of time and monetary investment possible so with that in mind it's important to make our MVP realistic so we don't want to offer a $50 service for $5 because with that really attractive offer we might get a lot of customers but that doesn't really prove anything about our assumption and in that instance you'd be giving away free service so keep in mind that the purpose of the MVP is not to make the most sales possible but it's to see if we can either prove or disprove our assumption about the pains that our customers are having and our solutions to help solve them so typically the more people are willing to pay the bigger the problem and when you're creating your MVP it's important to get multiple paying customers so let's say you get one or two people or even one or two friends to take advantage of your MVP offer that still doesn't give you enough information because you don't know if this is a fluke or if this is a big enough pain that it's worth building a full-fledged scalable business for but let's say you have 10 to 20 customers then you're not only gonna get more proof about your assumption but you're also gonna get a lot more feedback about what customers liked and didn't like about your solution and this is excellent information that you can use to start building your full scalable business so then once you have proved your assumption or disproved your assumption then you no longer need the MVP that was the only purpose of the MVP to either prove or disprove your assumption and also to get feedback to start building your next final solution.
