This course is brought to you by Appy Pie as part of our Academy series number 15 why hitting snooze is going to F up your entire day now I'm not gonna swear in this lecture I'm not gonna swear in this course you can understand there are udemy policies against it but at the same time it's important to know why hitting snooze it's gonna mess up your day it's gonna cause problems and that being said I build and talk about more of this in another course I have on udemy 57 plus sleep acts to improve your health energy in mind find me on you to me you can get more details how to improve your sleep and be productive that sense but I'm still going to give you the basics here I touched on sleep and productivity in a previous lecture but I want to build on that and especially the snooze button that darn snooze button this all goes down to the sleep cycle what that means is when you signal to your body and tell your body then it's time to sleep at a consistent time every day then your body knows when to relax and when to work so if you go to sleep 9 8 9 p.m. every day and you wake up at 5 a.m. every day then your body knows between those times it's sleep time it's relaxing time no work nothing else gets done then you know during those waking hours after 5:00 a.m. and before 9 p.m. your body knows I need to work I need to do things I need to be productive so keeping in mind that sleep cycle helps you with knowing that why you shouldn't hit the snooze button so when you hit the snooze button you're signaling to your body and you're confusing your body that's not a good thing you're messing up the sleep cycle you are supposed to be asleep and relaxing from 9 p.m. for example to 5:00 a.m. now if you're sleeping in extra 15 30 minutes or an hour then that's confusing your body it says what wait a second I thought this was waking time that's gonna mess up your sleep cycle mess up your internal sleeping clock and it's gonna mess up your entire day another note it also also builds discipline so if the alarm goes off and you get up you're disciplined you are doing what you're supposed to do now let's take the flip side of that if you hit the snooze button and sleep in that's only going to transfer to the rest of your day where another tasks comes up it's a little more difficult you don't want to deal with it I won't do it I'm not disciplined I'm not the type of person that does it so it's messing up your entire day build discipline when your alarm goes off get up get ready you're gonna see the impacts on your day you're gonna see the impacts on your productivity don't hit the snooze button it's gonna f up your entire day.
