This course is brought to you by Appy Pie as part of our Academy series number 33 how stress hurts your mind body and effectiveness now this is found in another course I have 79 plus stress relief hacks to help your mind body and spirit I will go over the basics here so you can benefit from it but if is this is an issue you deal with definitely check out my other course and find me on udemy now stress hormones you have cortisol norepinephrine adrenaline and what it does is they actually affect the way you think affect how you do day-to-day tasks it engages a different part of your mind when you have these stress reuleaux stress hormones and these neurotransmitters going throughout your mind going throughout your body through your out with your bloodstream that's actually disengaging you know the mental faculties that you have disengaging the part of your brain that can actually think actually think clearly and it's more in survival mode so when you're listening and using this technique by cutting down on stress reality able to think more clearly you're able to think more effectively think your way out of situation and take action and do something with it you know thousands of years ago when there was a snake in the bush then it made sense to release all those hormones and deal with that issue and be able to get into a certain mode a fight-or-flight and run away and be more engaged in your body and fight and live and survive in today's world there aren't that many snakes and bushes the last time I checked there aren't any snakes in the bushes so when your body goes into that fight-or-flight mode and it goes into that mental state where it's ready to fight and survive and kill that's not really helpful in today's world it's not really going to help you be productive so if I cutting down on stress we're able to think more clearly we're able to accomplish more now we are going to go over some stress release techniques stress relief techniques first here is a five five five breathing technique I mentioned this earlier I want to go over it again where you inhale for five seconds you hold it for five seconds then you exhale for five seconds help you breathe and think and be a lot more relieved when it comes to anxiety and worry so breathe in hold it and then release it that's your five five five you do that as many times as you need can be five times it can be ten times however long it takes you second tip here's better sleep we talked about the sleep cycle get to bed at the same time wake up at the same time that's going to help you deal with your stress a lot better here's a bonus tip with dealing with your sleep by exercising and by doing more things that are more active more active activities then you're able to get better sleep there are a thousand plus chemical reactions that go on during exercise that are gonna help you exhaust your body physically and in a good way so you're able to sleep better and sleep deeper now the third tip here is meditation to deal with stress it doesn't have to be three hours long it doesn't have to be that long you can do five minutes 10 minutes and still benefit from meditation now it doesn't matter what position you're doing or for our sake what stance you're doing or how you breathe or what you focus on the basics of meditation is to have some private time sit down or lay down but just focus on your breathing how it go comes into your body how it goes out of your body that's the basics of meditation so you don't have to worry about well how do I do it how do I actually meditate but by getting started even if it's simple even if you just sit down for five minutes and close your eyes and focus on breathing it's much better to get started now with that.
