I: Introduction

It is often a challenging task to choose a programming language to learn for a beginner. So, you should choose the language that will be helpful for you to develop your career as a professional programmer.

I: The first thing that a beginner should do is to learn the basics of at least one programming language. In fact, there are two reasons for this. Firstly, it will help you to get familiar with the syntax of a programming language. Secondly, it will boost your confidence level so that you can proceed with your learning further. You can learn basic python programming for beginners from a number of websites.

A: It is also recommended for you to know the purpose of each programming language. After mastering the basic concepts of a language, you can proceed to learn a language that best suits your need. For instance, if you want to develop a web application, then PHP is a good choice. On the other hand, if you want to develop a desktop application, then C++ is a good choice.

II: Body

A: Once you have mastered the basics of a language, it is time to learn how to create a simple program. The first program that every beginner should write is the ‘Hello World’ program. This program will help you to become familiar with the syntax of the language.

B: The second program that every beginner should write is the ‘Factorial’ program. This is because it involves complex mathematical functions like ‘recursion’ and ‘iteration’. If you can master these functions in your second program, then you can master most of the complex mathematical functions in your third program.

III: Conclusion

A: There are many software development tools available in the market. Once you have learned the basics of a programming language, you need to choose the one that best suits your needs. Some of the popular ones are NetBeans, Eclipse, Microsoft Visual Studio and IntelliJ IDEA.
