I: Introduction
A: How to write a business plan marketing strategy
I believe that the most effective way to create a profitable business is to create a product or service that no one else can deliver. I also believe that you should make it unique and do not try to create something that already exists.
My favorite author, Napoleon Hill, said in his book Think and Grow Rich, “The most powerful factor in the achievement of your definite chief aim in life is the Master Mind. The Master Mind is formed by two or more people who pool their knowledge, experience and resources for the purpose of creating, developing and carrying into execution any given plan to produce a definite result” (Hill 123).
I agree with Napoleon Hill’s statement, “The Master Mind principle can be summed up in one sentence: two or more minds working together will achieve far better results than the same number of individuals working independently of each other” (124). The Master Mind principle works because you are able to get input from other people on how to create your product or service.
Another part of this strategy is to ask yourself what you would like to see your business become over the next five years. Then ask yourself what would you need to happen to reach that goal? What would you do if you were starting over again? If you knew nothing about business and had to learn everything from scratch how would you do it?
To answer these questions, I would use my Principles of Success, mentioned earlier. These principles help me stay focused on what my goals are and what I want to accomplish. For example, I want to work less and make more money. So my goal is to create a product and service that will allow me to reach these goals. I can then begin working those principles into my business.
II: Body
A: Napoleon hill principle 4 in action
I believe that Napoleon Hill was right when he said, “This world belongs to those who take possession of it and make things happen (Hill 125).” If we continue to sit back and wait for things to happen we will never make it. We must take action and put our plans into motion.
One way I like to take action is by reading books and taking notes on what I learned and applying them to my business and personal life. This semester I read a book called The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley. In the book he talks about how most millionaires have a very simple lifestyle and spend less than they earn. He also talks about how most wealthy people only spend three percent of their income on clothes. He also mentions that most rich people live below their means.
So what does this have to do with being successful? Instead of trying to keep up with the Joneses, we need to find out what they are doing and copy it! Most rich people do not waste money on expensive clothes, cars or houses. Instead they buy used vehicles and live in a modest home. Another thing rich people don’t do is eat out all the time. They save money by cooking at home instead of going out every day. As long as you are not sacrificing quality for price it will help you save money. These are just some examples of how some rich people save money on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter how much money you make, you can always cut back on some spending habits.
I am going to start living below my means by making a budget and sticking to it. I will also start shopping for used clothing instead of new clothing. I will do this because I want to save money so I can quit my job hopefully within the next few months and travel around the country. I want to go on vacation soon so I will start saving money now so I can enjoy myself when I go on vacation. The best way to save money is to live below your means so you don’t feel deprived when you are saving money for your future. Saving money is not fun but it is important if you want to reach your goals in life.
