My name is Alex and I am a Productivity Engineer at work-at-home.com. I will focus my article on how to work effectively while staying home. As you may know, for many people, working from home is the best way to get things done. Because you are not distracted by outside factors like phone calls, co-workers, emails, etc. I will outline what it takes to be productive while working from home.

II: Body

I’ll use my own case study of reversing the eating at desk behavior with more focus & motivation to illustrate how to apply this knowledge to your workday. I was an office worker. Most of the time, I would sit at my desk all day, eating lunch that I brought from home, surfing the internet or reading email. It was hard for me to concentrate on my work because I would get distracted by new emails or by thinking about things that were out of my control. So, I decided to try something different. I moved my laptop into the living room and created my own office space in the living room. I ordered a second monitor for my laptop so I could have two screens. Then, I used an app called Freedom to block all websites except the one I needed to use for work. That way, I wouldn’t get distracted by checking facebook or any other website. For example, if I was writing an article, I wouldn’t be able to go on Facebook or YouTube. Then, when I was ready to work, I would open up that one website that I needed to use and then work on that article until it was done or my time was up. This way, my productivity went through the roof because there were no distractions and I could focus on getting things done. Before, when I tried to work in the living room, my productivity was very low because I would get distracted by everything around me. So, if it works for me, it can work for anyone!

III: Conclusion

In conclusion, if you are trying to get stuff done while working from home, here are some tips that might help you get more stuff done:

Create an outline for your article.

Work in a specific area where you won’t be distracted.

Block all websites that you don’t need for work and then work on that one thing that you need to get done.
