I: Introduction

A: Working from home is becoming more and more common. While it has some major advantages, there are a number of disadvantages as well. For this article, I will be focusing on how to work from home productively.

II: Body

A: Balancing resourcefulness and your own problem-solving with getting help

You can have a productive day from home, but you have to be careful not to get stuck. If you have a problem, you need to know how to solve it on your own first before trying to get help from others. It is important to try to solve the problem on your own first because it builds your problem-solving skills and helps you learn more about yourself. You can look up answers online for most problems, so if you find yourself going down a rabbit hole of Google answers, you may want to take a break and try a different approach. This will help you avoid getting stuck in a rut and give you a more productive day. You also need to take breaks in between working. The human mind has limits when it comes to processing information, so spacing out your work time will help you stay productive throughout the day.

B: Getting help when you need it

For the most part, working from home is great because you don’t have to deal with office politics or other people’s attitudes. However, if you do need help with something, it is easy to get stuck working with people who do not know what they are doing. This can ruin an otherwise productive day because these people tend to waste time and not be able to solve problems like they should. If you find yourself working with someone like this, you should ask for their supervisor or someone else who might be able to help them do their job better. If this does not work, ask to be transferred to another department or contact your boss about the situation.
