How to Purchase Domain and Hosting Account

If you are starting out with an idea of what kind of website you want it is important to choose a name that is appropriate for your business. Be careful not to choose a name that has already been taken by somebody else. If you are serious about establishing a business online, this is the first step that must be taken.

Look into registering your domain name through one of the many domain registrars that exist today. A domain name is like your web address. Here are some examples of some common domains names.

gmail.com – Email Client

yahoo.com – Email, Chat, News, etc

google.com – Search Engine

facebook.com – Social Networking Site

ebay.com – E-commerce Site

Paypal.com – Online Payment Service

The possibilities are endless! Once you have chosen a domain name you can then go to a hosting service provider and purchase an internet host for your site. This is just like leasing space on a server for your website files. Here are some examples of hosting services available.

hostgator.com – Shared Hosting

bluehost.com – Shared Hosting

godaddy.com – Shared Hosting

1and1.com – Dedicated Hosting

GoDaddy, BlueHost, and HostGator are some of the most popular choices among people who are looking for cheap web hosts that offer high performance reliability. They are also known for having excellent customer support if you run into problems or have questions regarding anything related to installing WordPress or running your website. People usually choose these companies because they offer all the features you need at a low price point. BlueHost is probably the best choice because they are one of the cheapest web hosts around while still providing reliable hosting, great customer support, and fast servers. Note that you can use any of these companies to host your site as well as purchase your domain name if you desire to do so. However there are other companies out there that provide similar services such as domain registration and hosting for cheaper than these three but I would advise against using them because they tend to lack performance and support features that these companies offer. BlueHost is also very easy to use. It is very straight forward and comprehensive in its features and support which makes it perfect for beginners looking to get their first site up and running without any major problems or hassles. At the end of this article I will discuss hosting and performance in more detail and let you know why BlueHost is my top choice when choosing a web host for your site. When choosing your web host it is important to remember that every site requires different amounts of storage space and bandwidth depending on the type of site it is and how much traffic you expect to receive on a daily basis so it is important to choose a web host that offers the type of bandwidth and storage space you need for your site at an affordable price point so you don’t get charged extra fees when your site starts getting lots of traffic and needs upgrades in its bandwidth and storage space. The last thing you want to do is choose a hosting service that doesn’t offer good bandwidth and storage space at an affordable price point and then get hit with huge fees when your site suddenly becomes very successful and you need more space for your files. In addition to choosing a service that offers enough space for your files it is also important to make sure the service offers enough CPU processing power for your site because this will affect how fast your site loads when someone visits it from their computer or mobile phone since CPU processing power determines how quickly the server processes data from your site when someone clicks on a link or type something into the search engine browser window on their mobile device or computer which then sends a request back to the server to display the requested page or resource from your site after going through the many layers of security checks that servers have in place because anytime a user wants to access a file from a server they have to go through several security checks before being allowed access to it so it’s important to make sure your web hosting service has enough CPU processing power so the server process requests quickly so users don’t have to wait long when accessing your site because if they have to wait too long they may click away from your site which results in less hits on your site which hurts your ranking in search engines which in turn lowers your organic traffic which means you have less people visiting your site which in turn lowers your revenue potential which means… Well you get the idea! You really want to make sure that the server you lease space on has enough CPU processing power because if it doesn’t then any traffic received by your site will be delayed until it does get processed which will negatively affect the performance of your site since people won’t like waiting too long on pages that load slowly which means they may exit out of their browser window before the page even finishes loading completely leaving them seeing only white pages on their browser window instead of whatever content was supposed to be there if more CPU processing power was available on the server allowing the page to load faster which would result in less page views (hits) on your site which would lower your revenue potential which means… You get the idea! You really want to choose a website hosting service that offers high quality CPU processing power at an affordable price point so you can avoid paying extra fees when more CPU processing power is needed on your host server due to increased traffic on your site resulting in slower response times on your pages which results in people exiting their browser window out of frustration leaving them seeing only white pages on their browser window instead of whatever content was supposed to be there if more CPU processing power was available on the server allowing the page to load faster which would result in less page views (hits) on your site which would lower your revenue potential which means… You get the idea! And finally you want to make sure that when selecting a hosting service provider you find one that offers great customer support because if you run into problems with anything related to setting up your web hosting account or installing wordpress or any other issues related to hosting or maintaining your website then it would be nice to have someone there who can help you fix things quickly so you can get back to building lots of content for visitors to enjoy instead of wasting time fighting with technology trying to figure things out yourself when sometimes it is faster and easier just doing things yourself instead of waiting for support tickets or emails back after filling out various forms online just so someone can help you with putting together files related to everything from installing wordpress, purchasing SSL Certificates, setting up email accounts, configuring email accounts, configuring DNS Zones, configuring FTP accounts, configuring FTP Servers, configuring temporary email addresses, configuring permanent email addresses, configuring social network accounts, configuring payment gateways, configuring shopping cart systems, setting up autoresponders, setting up autoresponders, setting up feedback forms, setting up guest books, setting up surveys, setting up captcha forms, setting up forum posting systems, setting up chat systems, setting up chat room systems, etc etc etc… All these things are very time consuming tasks that may take hours upon hours trying to figure things out by yourself especially if you aren’t familiar with all these technologies but thanks to great customer support it doesn’t have to be this way because all you have to do is fill out an email ticket request through various forms online asking for support with any issue related to anything mentioned above and usually within 24 hours someone responds with instructions letting me know exactly what I needed were if I had any issues with installing Wordpress or installing plugins or activating scripts or fixing broken links or fixing bad code throughout my websites hosted on their servers etc etc etc… However, this level of customer support doesn’t come free unfortunately so this means I have to pay about $5 per month per website hosted on their servers but I think it’s worth paying extra because I’m sick of dealing with broken links throughout my websites caused by bad code being thrown around by people who don’t know what they are doing so I want someone there looking out for me who knows what they are doing so I can rest assured knowing my sites are being looked after carefully by professionals keeping everything working perfectly so users can easily navigate around my website finding whatever information they need quickly without having trouble finding it which means… Hopefully… More sales made… More money earned… More money spent… More money earned… More money spent… More money earned… More money spent… And repeat!
