Video Transcription: I want to show you an official statement from Google this is from their official Google masked webmaster blog and they released the speed update in January 17th 2018 this video is brought to you by Appy Pie’s Academy. and there's a couple of interesting points that we need to take away the first point is that they are either completely taking out or pushing way down the slowest of the slowest pages and they are saying that most pages will not be affected but if your site is extremely slow you're in danger of entirely being taken out the question is being taken out of which search results in this instance they are talking about the mobile search result because they already had applied this to the desktop search results before what's the difference this is important keep in mind before Google used to even if you searched on your phone which is a mobile search Google used to take the desktop side load speed and and use that metric from the desktop side load speed to affect your mobile ranking it's a little strange right they should have always used the mobile rank the mobile load speed load load speed for the mobile ranking but they only now starting to do that so now your mobile low side speed load is going to factor into your ranking on mobile devices which is probably what you assumed was happening the whole time but now it's actually the case and it's strange because you see this is 2018 but Google has been talking about this since I'll let you guess you have three seconds to guess how a sense when has side speed load load speed had been important three seconds one two three the original article you can see is from 2010 so they've been talking about this for a while and finally now it's come to fruition so your desktop and site loads speed loads are going to be very important for your for your ranking and if you're extremely slow it's gonna get entirely taken out.
