Video Transcription: This course is brought to you by Appy Pie as part of our Academy series have another idea here I want to try to make this look better so instead of having this be the dark background I'm going to keep it very simple keep it with a lighter background and then change the background color of the column itself to pure white and all the text I'll change to my off black and for the column itself I'm gonna add a shadow to it and see hello so I think that's a little bit better with a drop shadow distance to zero add some more space to it let's see that  and actually think I don't need an about Me section so I'm just gonna get rid of that and keep this really simple I'm gonna write down this drop shot out here and I want to use the same drop shadow for all three so that's 360 degrees zero distance 23 blur negative five spread shadow 360 degrees zero-distance 23 blur negative 5 spread same with this one zero distance 23 blur negative 5 spread and 360 and then just change the color again so that's pure white pure white over here and changing this to off black off black and same thing laughs black of five there you go and I'm gonna try putting a little bit more spacing here 15 and down here I want to add some more spacing as well sixteen and let's preview that so it's definitely a very simple bare-bones website but that's kind of what I like and so minimal is good I think it could use even more space there though seems kind of packed    so this is what we started with not too long ago and this is where we're at that actually even here could use some more spacing there we go I'm thinking maybe adding a line under here so there's some decorations that are built into this but first we need to make sure that there's a border on the bottom let's see five packs two big one so that's something with the background color so we don't want that not digging that so let's get rid of that and instead we could search for a divider and I like that thickness is good bill color will make it are off black and just needs to be closer see what that looks like okay there you go I think it'd be cool if we put one above it too zero zero and let's take a look at that so now I want it a little more even change the top margin to 50 and what's that look like wait I'm actually going to lower it a little bit though so to do that I'll increase the space at the top and then lower the space beneath it one in the middle there we go and I'm gonna add a little bit more of a shadow at the top cool I think we're pretty good here so that's it for the home page just wondered if I should change anything else here let's try having these aligned to the left I think oh I know what this needs on this background section a little texture so you can click this button to add texture by adding a pattern and you can select the color of the pattern and also the opacity so I'm just gonna add 10% there maybe even a little bit less like 6 and there we go and that text for that button is open songs that would be better if that was lotto and bold and are off lights    same with these buttons too off-white and lasso off-white off-white and lotto muffled so now let's take a look at that reload it and I'm gonna open up a new window so we don't have that random black bar at the top and it's give back your gif comm slash home so we're gonna need to shrink that image size so it loads faster but okay I'm pretty happy with this oh I got an idea for the green gradient in the background section maybe if we make it lighter at the top it'll have better contrast with the menu there we go all right that's better this is sums a gen Xer online business and I'm gonna move this down a little bit done nice I'm actually gonna try using a different image here for the header though because I have more and I think I like the other ones better so let me just pull up those photos okay where all my images there we go five megabytes that's huge so this image needs to be changed to size let's try that one very oh wow that's big all right and we could tone down those shadows a little bit negative seven I know son and this one needs to be moved down a little bit there you go and I'm just getting nitpicky okay 10x your life done one other thing is on the menu I'm noticing something this menu I want it to be aligned to the right so I'm going to take each of these text items and write a line there we go and we reload pups save and close' symbol and the hover effects still underlined and the spacing can use some work no water so far and that's it thank we did that oh my god how big can Erica.
