Event management is the process of planning, organizing, and implementing an event. Event management is a broad term that encompasses all aspects of an event from the initial idea to the final evaluation. It includes financial concerns, site selection, promotion, marketing, ticket sales, legalities, logistics, budgeting, contracting, staffing, public relations, volunteer management, post-event review, crisis management, and much more.
Event management is any activity related to the planning and execution of an event. The term can refer to a specific event or to the profession of managing events. The term can also be used as a euphemism for managing crowds at an event (crowd management) by use of crowd control methods.
