I: Introduction

Programming languages are the tools that computer programmers use to create software. This article will explore the various types of programming languages currently in use today, and how they differ from one another.

II: Body

I. Back End

A. C++/Java

This is the back end coding language that is used to create the basic programming structure of many games, apps, or websites. It is also called “the code behind the code” because it is what is used to create the logic of how things work, not what you see on the actual screen. C++ is the most common programming language in use today, while Java is the most popular new programming language.

B. HTML/CSS/Javascript

This is the coding language used for the front end of websites. HTML designates the page layout of the website, CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets, and Javascript is what makes it interactive. A good example of this would be a photo gallery that allows users to zoom in on images or like them on Facebook. The back end software that created this was probably coded with C++/Java, but the front end (what you see when you’re on the website) was created with HTML/CSS/Javascript. This type of coding language is very easy to learn, so it is often used for building websites quickly without hiring a professional developer.

C. PHP

PHP stands for Hypertext Pre-Processor, which is essentially a web development language that works behind the scenes with HTML/CSS/Javascript. PHP can handle things like data retrieval, dynamic content, session management, and transferring files. This code is what makes websites interactive, interactive features include things like having different content appear depending on what section of a website you are in, or being able to share social media links on Facebook or Twitter directly from a website.

D. Ruby On Rails

Ruby On Rails is a back end coding language used to create database applications. It handles things like user authentication, model-view-controller architecture, file uploads, and functionality testing. A good example of this would be Netflix or Spotify where you can search through movies/music using their music library feature. The back end coding language that allowed them to develop this feature was probably Ruby On Rails.

E. Swift

Swift is an iOS specific coding language that was created by Apple. It is designed to make it easier for developers to create apps for iPhones and iPads faster than Objective-C. It is also commonly used by other software developers who want to create apps for Apple products. This code is what allows users to access all the features of an app such as posting photos on Instagram or liking it on Facebook from within an app without needing to go to a separate website.

F. Node.js

Node.js is a back end coding language that allows developers to create server side applications using JavaScript programming language instead of using languages such as C++ and Java. This code is what enables developers to write programs in JavaScript instead of other languages and still be able to run it on a server or distribute it through an app store such as Apple or Google Play Store. One example of this might be a chat website where you can send messages to friends and share pictures and video clips with each other online. If this website was created using Node.js then people could potentially access it from their computers, tablet, or mobile phone and still be able to message each other using their own device’s internet connection without having to download an application onto their device; however Node.js does require some knowledge of JavaScript and other codes such as HTML and CSS in order to make full use of its features and functions. For instance, if you wanted your website/app to have voice messaging capability then you would have to know how to code it in Node.js in order to implement that feature into your site/app otherwise it just wouldn’t work correctly.

G. Python

Python is a general purpose programming language that can be used for everything from creating games to writing complex mathematical equations to creating websites using Django framework which allows developers to rapidly develop apps using Python code instead of writing code from scratch every time a new app needs to be developed for a specific purpose. It has been called a fast and easy way to write programs for a variety of purposes including desktop applications, network clients/servers, interactive web applications, and GUI applications for desktop computers and mobile devices alike. One example of this might be a computer program that helps people plan out their weekly meals/shopping list based on items already in their home’s pantry instead of going out and buying additional food which would help save money, time, and reduce food waste at home since only foods that are needed would be bought instead of wasting money on extra food simply because it was on sale at a low price which might not get eaten before going bad at home due to expiration date expiration dates or forgotten about until they expire in the pantry at home since they never got used up before they went bad which means more money spent on wasted food at home which means less money left over for other necessities like rent or electricity which means more stress for people trying to make ends meet financially which means more mental health issues for people who are struggling financially which means more depression & anxiety for people who are struggling financially which means more people ending up homeless (and subsequently eating out at restaurants more often) which means more people ending up in debt (which leads them right back into homelessness). So by having a program that helps people plan out their weekly meals/shopping list based on items already in their home’s pantry instead of going out and buying additional food would help reduce food waste at home since only foods that are needed would be bought instead of wasting money on extra food simply because it was on sale at a low price which might not get eaten before going bad at home due to expiration dates or forgotten about until they expire in the pantry at home since they never got used up before they went bad which means more money spent on wasted food at home which means less money left over for other necessities like rent or electricity which means more stress for people trying to make ends meet financially which means more mental health issues for people who are struggling financially which means more depression & anxiety for people who are struggling financially which means more people ending up homeless (and subsequently eating out at restaurants more often) which means more people ending up in debt (which leads them right back into homelessness).
