A: Adjusting font and font size

1: Font size is the size of the text. Some programming languages make a distinction between a font and a font size. In this case, a character is a "pixel" which is a square dot in a grid that makes up an image. The characters can be set in different fonts or in different sizes. Fonts use different styles of the same letter. For example, "Times New Roman" and "Comic Sans MS" are fonts which use the same letter character but they have different styles. In the same way, the same letters can be given different sizes. A font is the set of all the letters and numbers in a particular style. A font size is the size of the letters and numbers in a font. Programming languages often select a font and font size for you. You can use character codes to change them if you want.

2: Fonts developed from writing systems such as Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese characters. Fonts started out as wooden blocks carved with characters on them. These blocks were then used by printers such as Gutenberg to print books such as the Bible. As technology developed, fonts became more sophisticated and were stored electronically on computers, but their basic purpose remained unchanged. They still represent writing systems and they still hold words and letters in a particular style and size on the screen. Today, computer fonts may be part of a font package or they may be downloaded from the Internet and installed on your computer. Sometimes, there is only one font on your computer, while other times there are many to choose from. It is possible to install fonts on your computer without knowing anything about programming languages. However, if you add these fonts to your computer you will add new characters such as Greek letters to your keyboard. This may interfere with your ability to properly use other programs on your computer, so it is important that you know how to do it properly.

3: There are several ways to adjust the size of text on your screen in Visual Basic programming language. One way involves choosing options from menus. Another way involves changing your settings in the "Control Panel." The Control Panel is found in Windows operating systems such as Windows XP or Vista. Your Control Panel settings are different depending on which version of Windows you are using at the time so it is important that you check your Control Panel settings before making any changes. If you are using Windows 2000, click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display icon > Appearance tab > Text Size box > Text Size drop-down list box > Smallest or Largest or Medium or Other Size button > Apply or OK or Cancel button > Settings button > OK button > Close button > Close Control Panel window > No button > Yes button > OK button > Close window > No button > Yes button > OK button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK Button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK Button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK Button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK Button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK Button> Close Control Panel Window> No button> Yes button> OK Button> Close Control Panel Window>. Alternatively, you can press CTRL+ALT+DEL, click Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information icon > Display tab > Advanced Settings box > Increase Font Size or Decrease Font Size pull-down list box > Apply or OK or Cancel button > Settings button > OK button > Close Control Panel window>. The following table shows the relationship between some of these terms.
